Cleveland Cavs Parking at Quicken Loans Arena


The Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland is home to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Lake Erie Monsters hockey team and dozens of concerts and events. The arena has two on-site parking garages connected via covered walkway that accommodate up to 3,300 cars. The spaces range in price from about $10 to $20 or more, depending on the event. Another roughly 17,000 parking spaces are available within a 10-minute walk to the arena, at prices ranging from about $5, depending on the event and proximity to the stadium.

Event parking options for Quicken Loans Arena

Parking at the 20,500-seat Quicken Loans Arena, also known as The Q, can get tricky when it hosts marquee concerts or NBA games, or if multiple events are planned. A few options:
  • Some metered parking is available but is limited on game days, so check signage.
  • Public transit is another option: If you ride RTA (more info), you can take advantage of more than 7,000 free park-and-ride spaces around town.
  • Like to gamble? The nearby Horseshoe Casino Cleveland offers up to 24 hours of free parking at its self-park garage (within walking distance of Quicken Loans Arena) if you gamble for 30 minutes or more.

Lakers and Clippers Parking at Staples Center

The Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles is much more than the home of the Lakers, Clippers and Kings. It's a year-round hotspot for concerts, events, dining and entertainment. That means parking can be tricky, particularly during big events. The arena district has about 3,500 parking spaces on site and there are another more than 16,000 parking spaces within a roughly 10-minute walk.

Use a Staples Center garage or take public transit

During events at the Staples Center, Nokia Theater and the Convention Center, on-site garages charge a flat rate between $10 and $30, depending on the event. Valet is available for an additional fee. Another option: Book a space at a privately owned parking facility a short walk from the arena. Many of the lots offer more affordable rates and easier access, and if you buy in advance your space is guaranteed to be waiting for you. Houston Rockets Parking at Toyota Center

Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets, Houston Aeros and dozens of annual concerts and events, stands in the heart of Houston's central business district, at 1510 Polk St. The stadium includes an adjacent 2,500-space parking garage, including two accessible levels, but it's not enough to accommodate all the cars when the stadium reaches its 18,000 capacity for NBA basketball and 19,000 capacity for concerts. Fortunately, the arena is surrounded within a few blocks by more than 10,000 additional parking spaces.

Many of the parking lots and garages within a short walk of Toyota Center offer discounted, prepaid parking rates for Houston Rockets fans and concertgoers. Miami Heat Parking at American Airlines Arena

American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat and marquee concerts and events, is located in downtown Miami at 601 Biscayne Blvd., adjacent to Bicentennial Park. There are more than a dozen parking lots and garages available for parking accessible via a 10-minute or less walk, primarily to the west of the arena. Many of them offer discount, prepaid parking reservations to help you plan ahead and avoid hassle.

Taking public transportation to American Airlines Arena

Many visitors to American Airlines Arena use public transportation to the facility. Head to the stadium by taking the Metrorail to Government Center Station, transfer to Metromover's Omni Loop, then disembark at Park West Station. The arena is a short walk east, across Biscayne Boulevard. Metrorail trains run from 5 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week. Check the websites for Metrorail and Metromover for routes and schedules.

Miami Parking Authority municipal lots offer parking deals to season ticket holders who buy parking for the entire season at a garage and lot in close proximity to the arena.
